We were delighted to be invited to speak to 45 Reading University students as part of their teaching on aphasia @abcdlabreading @UniofReading . After an introduction to the social model of aphasia, 17 of our amazing Aphasia Ambassadors teamed up with small groups of students to answer questions about their experience of aphasia. Our polls at the end of the session showed it was a positive experience for both students and Ambassadors – we hope to be able to more of this sort of teaching in the future.
