Dyscover Online Project

Dyscover offers a unique pathway of long-term support for people with for people with aphasia and their families both face-to-face and online.

All our groups and courses are led by Speech and Language Therapists and SLT Assistants, with the support of trained volunteers.

What do we hope to offer?

Results of our consultation in 2023 told us there is demand for long-term ongoing support online, and for a differentiated, SLT-led pathway of support so that people with aphasia can continue with their recovery after discharge from NHS services.

We are now expanding our online support to reach people who do not currently have access to long-term aphasia support where they live. We offer a programme of weekly online communication groups and courses, led by Speech and Language Therapists and tailored to where people are on their recovery journey.

How do I refer / join?

We accept referrals from Speech and Language Therapists, healthcare professionals, and self-referrals from people with aphasia and their relatives.

When we receive the referral, one of our SLTs will arrange to meet with you 1:1 to discuss your goals and needs so that we can provide you with the most appropriate support.  Our online services are open to anyone with a diagnosis of aphasia, living in the UK, and with access to a suitable computer and internet connection.
