Wildlife Aid Foundation talk to Thursday Group

Last week the Thursday morning group were given an inspiring and thought-provoking talk by Douglas Anderson, iDot Engagement Officer for the Wildlife Aid Foundation (WAF), a local wildlife charity in Leatherhead. Douglas gave the members a perfect lead-in to their discussions on the environment by introducing WAF’s simple but powerful iDot initiative: I Do One Thing. By all of us doing just one simple thing a day – such as feeding the birds, building a log pile in the garden, picking up rubbish and tidying away netting we can collectively protect the wildlife around us and look after our planet. Members were interested to learn about the Wildlife Aid Foundation’s work at their rescue centre – member Nicky had just that morning spotted an injured bird on the road and was keen to find out more about how the charity helped injured wildlife.
